We're hiring a VP of Sales & Customer Success to drive the commercialization of our product. You will be our first sales hire and responsible for growing and accelerating our sales pipeline (leading sales effort across all stages, from qualification to close). You will be involved in executing a sales plan to help achieve Colabra's business and financial objectives. Eventually, you will help us hire and develop a team of world-class account executives.

Responsibilities

  • Mastery of Colabra products and plans.

  • Grow and accelerate sales pipeline (leading sales effort across all stages, from qualification to close).

  • Thoughtfully address key stakeholders in the buyer journey while navigating organizational complexities.

  • Work closely with the founders to maintain and evolve the sales strategy, and the team structures to support them. Be the voice of the customer internally.

  • Effectively partner with and foster collaboration across internal functions to achieve company and organizational objectives.

  • Recruit, mentor, and retain talented team members by creating an environment where they can realize their full potential. Set an extremely high bar for our overall sales function.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Engineering is preferred. An advanced degree is a plus.

  • 5+ years in Sales Lead positions at early-stage high-growth B2B SaaS startups, and experience working in building and managing a remote-first team.

  • High-energy, relentlessly resourceful leader: Proven record of single-handedly taking sales from qualification to close.

  • Closing experience: Proven track record supporting and leading teams through the proposal, procurement, legal processes to drive deal closure.

  • Highly analytical: Experience using data to make decisions, and the ability to compare information from multiple sources to identify core issues.

  • Deep industry knowledge: Domain knowledge of scientific workflows and scientific software (LIMS, ELN, etc.). A deep understanding of the technology evaluation and buying cycle.

  • Excellent technical & people skills: Ability to see a problem from both the product and business perspectives, and an exceptional writer, presenter, and communicator.
